Redeemed Identity After Divorce | Christian, Divorce, Encouragement
Redeemed Identity After Divorce is a Christian divorce recovery podcast for believers who are ready to heal, rebuild, and walk confidently in their God-given calling after divorce.
Hosted by Dana Williams — a divorced Christian, ministry leader, and former pastor’s wife — this podcast offers biblical encouragement, practical strategies, and real conversations to help you:
- Overcome shame, guilt, and judgment (from others and yourself).
- Heal emotionally, spiritually, and mentally after divorce.
- Understand what the Bible really says about divorce and your worth.
- Reclaim your identity in Christ and the purpose God has for you.
- Step boldly into ministry, leadership, and your next chapter of life.
Dana knows firsthand the pain of walking through divorce in the church. After years of judgment, misunderstanding, and spiritual silence, she discovered a life-changing truth: divorce does not disqualify you from God’s love or calling. Your identity in Christ is secure, and His plan for your life is still in motion.
Whether you are freshly navigating divorce, amid rebuilding, or stepping into leadership after loss, Redeemed Identity After Divorce will give you hope, biblical wisdom, and practical tools to help you move forward with confidence.
It’s time to break free from shame, silence the lies, and rise up in the redeemed identity that has always been yours.

Episode Overview:
Today, we are doing a short lesson and diving deep into 1 Thessalonians 2:13—a verse that reveals how the Word of God is not just a text but a living, active force in our lives. Paul wrote to the Thessalonians about the power of receiving and welcoming God's Word, and how it effectively works in those who believe.
Key Points:
The Promise of God's Word:
God's Word is alive and powerful, capable of transforming our lives.
It is more than just text; it is an active force that works within us.
Steps to Embrace God's Word:
Receive the Word: Open your heart and mind to God's teachings.
Welcome the Word: Accept it not as human words, but as a divine message.
Believe in Its Power: Trust that God's Word will accomplish its purpose in your life.
Impact of God's Word:
Brings healing and growth beyond the pain of divorce.
Helps in discerning thoughts and intentions, guiding us toward a Christ centered life.
Acts as a spiritual tool for personal restoration and renewal.
Practical Application:
Embrace the habit of praying God's Word.
Use affirmations and declarations to reinforce your faith and trust in God's promises.
Lean on scriptural prayers during times of woundedness, hopelessness, or shame.
Closing:
Whether you're feeling wounded, hopeless, or filled with shame, today’s podcast shows you that the Word of God can be trusted to bring healing and life in the aftermath of divorce. I hope it encourages you and ignites your passion for praying the Word of God.

Hi there!
What is Rise and Reclaim After Divorce? What is Redeemed-Identity? This maiden voyage of the podcast will explain a little of my story.
My heart is to wake up the divorce Christian and cheer them on to their designed call from God. It doesn’t have to be in a ministry positon – it can be in the market place! Friends, We do not have time to be sitting in our mush pot feeling sorry for ourselves. we have a call. we have a destiny. It didn’t stop with the judges stamp on a divorce certificate!
When I started my divorce journey, I grappled with a deep sense of loss and I felt like the essence of who I was vanished with my marriage.
When that judge stamped that certificate, I felt like my dreams and future were shattered. I felt like God could never use me again because “He hates divorce” so that must mean he hates me now.
Can you relate? Maybe you have the same story. Join me as we re-remember who and whose you are! I would love to hear your story. You can email me at: Dana@redeemed-identity.com.

Dana
